    Installing new tub
1- can drain line be 1&1/2 inch or do I need to change it to 2 inch ?
2- since I won't have the room necessary for the trap without cutting into my joist can I just install the trap a floor below in the basement ? Its about a 10 foot vertical run and then I would put the trap.
I live in New Jersey and had a problem when I did my shower I had to change from 1&1/2 inch to a 2 inch drain line as per my inspector, don't want any issues this time around
