    Oversea inheritance tax issues
    My mother lives in the UK and is a british citizien , I live in CA and I am a legal resident of the USA, is there any way for me to avoid paying the 40% inheritance tax in England?

    In my opinion, no! The country where the inherited asset is located normally taxes the properties in question at the prevailing tax rates.
