    Discovery and first interrogatories
    I am being "sued" by a debt collector for a credit card debt that I cannot pay. I filed a graduated denial and they just sent me a request for admission of fact and first interrogatories. What should I do? I have been told by a bankruptcy lawyer that I am basically judgement proof. I am unemployed and do not have any assets. There is no bank account in my name. I incured this debt before I was married so my husband is safe. There has been no account number listed on any of the papers I have received. What is my next step? I live in Ga. Do I have to answer their request for discovery?

    Simply answer, "I would be glad to answer your interrogatories and soon as you validcate the alleged debt , by provide me with the original contract and complete account of the alleged debt."


    There is no way you can answer until you know what they are wanting you to admit to.


    File Notice of Intent to Defend with the court, if you don't they will obtain a default judgment against you. Go to the hearing and demand to seethe original contract that you signed, no a copy the original./
