    Uni boyfriend
Hey everyone,I could really do with some help here! My boyfriend of nearly 3 months has just gone off to uni. He definitely wanted to stay together, I mean was really keen, keener than me because I was worried it wudnt work but he's a very relationshippy person. So he left on sat morning, I saw him off, I asked him to text me when he's there but he said he had no credit but would try. So I never got a text, I left it and called him tonight, no answer, I just text him saying hope your having fun etc please call me when you get this. Am I being crazy for feeling upset? Before he left we saw each other nearly every day, were very close. What should I do, is he just having fun at uni? I'm so scared ill never hear from him again which would just be the weirdest ting ever after being so close. We are properly together in a relationship,so I feel hurt and confused. Please help, any advice appreciated!!

If he just got up there on Saturday then I'd say that he is busy settling in. College life is very crazy. It's a whole new life to learn. I remember I was so wrapped up my first few weeks I never called any friends from home - I didn't even call my mom!

What does it mean that he doesn't have any credit? Does that mean his phone is not working or that he doesn't have any minutes to use? Maybe its just a matter of his phone not working.

It means he doesn't have any minutes to use, no money in it, but I would have thought he could have got some by now or found some way to contact me just to say he's OK etc. how long should I wait to call him again if he doesn't return my call?

I agree with Glinda. The first few weeks of college are crazy, with orientation, going to freshman get-togethers (usually required by the Dean), choosing classes, buying books, hoping your roommates aren't as weird as they seem so far, setting up and decorating your dorm room, etc. etc. etc.

Write him a nice letter but don't overdo it with the tears and missing him. I'd wait at least a week before I start wondering too much, especially if he has no credit and may not be able to afford a phone call yet. Once his computer gets set up or he wanders into the uni computer room, you will hear from him.

(Hint: The less obsessive and worrying-sounding, i.e. pathetic, you sound to him, the more comfortable and happier he will be about you. Don't be clingy.)

Maybe try sending him an email. He should be able to access email from anywhere on campus.

Thank god you guys hadn't spent 3 years together. As others have said " Saturday?" Not much time to get his things in order. You need to trust, be patient and get distracted,, find stuff you like to do and get into it and if you find that he's all you have then there's a problem way beyond "off to college." Best wishes.

Drop him a card, since he has no money, or is that to old fashion?
