    Child support
I am almost 8 months pregnant with my first child. (my son) the father of my child denys him. We both know that he is the father... he told me to get an abortion when I was 6 months becausse he didn't want to pay child support. We are not on good terms and he doesn't want anything to do with me or his child. Is there a way ii can file for child support or any bennifits even though I'm still pregnant?

    No.

You have to wait until the child is born before you can file anything.

What you can do though (because I did this)... is go to your child support office and get all the paperwork you need to fill out. You can have everything filled out, then fill in the birth info, and file immediately following the birth. I did this, and filed everything when my daughter was 3 days old.

The rules do vary by state. But it will generally work as macksmom said. However, when she says file, this means in Family Court. The father will then be issued a summons to appear. If he denies the child, then a DNA test will be performed. At some pont a judge will rule and assign child support

The drawback to child support is that this jerk might decide he wants joint custody, and this might not be in the child's best interest. You might want to file for child support, he will court-ordered to pay some amount. Next, he probably will not pay for several years... it adds up quickly to thousands of dollars. When the child is 10 or 12 years old, haul him back into court and he will owe about $50,000 and they will throw the jerk in jail.
