I really don't know much about the "Computational" Eng. Aspect... but my is graduating in May 08 with a Bach. Degree in Metalurgical Engineering and I do know that there is a high demand for engineers in almost ANY field.

Lets face it, it's a tough field in which you have to be very disciplined and very brainy (mathmatically inclined:) to be a good one! Lol! There are probably more jobs out there than there are graduates... so if its something your interested in, then go for it! Why, may I ask, did you choose Computational?

I know that he had an internship this last summer in Arizona, and for him being just an intern it paid VERY VERRRY well! The company paid for EVERYTHING... I mean everything while he was there! The apartment, all living expenses, travel to and from the job site, airfare to and from, just every little thing... then, on top of that, there was the WAGES!. Like I said, if you have the opportunity to get into a good engineering school then take it! Who knows which discipline you may end up choosing as you may switch once there, even a few times! Besides the first two years are gen. ed's anyway and I'm sure you'll learn more about the aspect of Computational vs. the other disciplines! Good Luck!
