    EU Passport
My grandfather was born in over in the UK and now has both a EU and Canadian Passport. Right now all I have in a Canadian passport but I would like to apply to get an EU passport for when I travel over there to see my son. My brother applied last year and needed to prove my parents got married and give a copy of both of their birth certificates, is there a list that will tell me what I need? Or any other helpful websites that I get get forms from?

There is no such thing as an EU passport! All the countries in the EU issue their own passports. A UK born grandparent does not entitle you to a British passport unless you live there. Ask your brother what he got.

It's called an EU passport, I don't know why but when I was in London, that is what the document called it. Both my grandparents are British citizens, my parents are also, when I called the imigrations office they said I should already have one but I don't. They weren't able to send me any forms but they said I should get them. I just need to know what documents I need to show so when I send it in it doesn't come back or get ignored.

Yes it is called an EU passport but it has to be issued by a country. If you have British parents at least one of whom was born there, you are entitled to British citizenship (an EU passport) even if you were born overseas.

To get your British passport, you will need to submit your birth certificate and the passport of the British born parent. If the name does not match the one on your birth certificate for any reason, you will have to submit another document linking them. For instance, in my case my children's birth certificates showed my married name and my passport was in my maiden name so I also had to submit my marriage certificate which then matched the mother's name on their birth certificate.

Google 'passport agency uk' to download the correct document.

Sadly, foreign born British can no longer automatically pass on their British citizenship so my children's children will need to be born in the UK to get it.
