    I have issues
If someone draws suicidal pictures and has suicidal thoughts but never tries to commit suicide, does that make them suicidal?

If someone does those things, they do need to seek professional counseling.

Typically those things are a start on the suicidal path. People that draw those things are preoccupied with death. That preoccupation will get worse and worse and eventually end in suicide. I would definitely professional help for this person to find why they are preoccupied with suicide. Perhaps they think it is cool... or they are really depressed. Either way it needs to be dealt with through the help of a professional counselor, etc. I would do so quickly, as the preoccupation can move quickly.

Another note, people who fantisize about death and suicide... think about it lots before they put it down on paper.

I know because I've been there. I've gone as far as typing up a suicide note and even putting a loaded gun to my head. My brother committed suicide two years ago as well. Don't pass this off as a phase this person is going through. It needs to be taken seriously.

Don't take this lightly, it's very serious. I have these thoughts as well, at least once a day, if not more. I'm worried that one day I will end it all. I think about it all the time. Just don't brush this off, that's all I can say.

Um, I'm… kinda going through this. I don't know what to do. I don't want to go to the doctors anymore, I'm so sick of them poking and prodding and trying to get into my head. I just don't know what to do anymore, is all

I don't want to go to a doctor for that very reason. I'm afraid they'll just pump me full of pills and slap a straight jacket on me. I'll just have to live with it and hope it gets better, or at least manageable.

Yeah, technically. I'm like this, and once I even got to trying to do it, but failed miserably. Normally I get to the point of making elaborate plans, but then I talk myself out of it. Currently, I'm not suicidal. I think suicide is pointless because you only have one life and if it doesn't suck (mine doesn't, for the most part) then it shouldn't matter if you're just going to die one day anyway.
Ok sorry rant over, but yeah, you're suicidal (less so than someone like me if you don't get to the point of planning)

I live in a prison camp, notabadgirl. Ok, it's not a prison camp, but my stepmom won't let me leave my front yard. I actually have attempted. (Oh, and I replied to your post about out there feelings)

Actually I don't live there yet. I live still in Oklahoma, but my mother, Michelle, lives there. I move there in two weeks.

So you go to the high school? Private message me. (Just go on my profile and click send private message). What's it like? Good food? What grade are you in?

If your thoughts can't be changed through talking with a counselor then sometimes pills are necessary. And yeah, it may stink to have to take medication daily, but if it keeps you from committing suicide, then it's well worth it. Not only that, the medication actually works. I see it working everyday in my line of work.
No, you don't JUST have to live with it, and it can get better, but you must take the steps necessary to get there. See a doctor!

MoonlitWaves, doctors bother me. In fact, they scare me. I don't really trust but a few people, and like, they want you to open up to them like you've known them all your life!

You stated in an earlier post that you didn't want to go to doctor's anymore. Does this mean you have been to a lot? Did none of them provide you with any prescriptions? Have you or your parents suggested medication? Most doctor's know what they are doing, but you know you better than anyone else. If talking isn't helping then it is time to take the next step. You need to let your doctor know. If they do not listen, seek another. Your situation is not to be taken lightly, which mean sometimes you must do what you don't want to (talking to docs or taking medication) and/or face your fear to get the help you need. It won't be any worse than killing yourself.

I've been to doctors before. I've taken like 6 different prescriptions.
I'm doing pretty good now, maybe some of it's teen angst, but, I have my days.

The point is, though you didn't like it, seeing doctors has gotten you to the point where you are "doing pretty good now" a big step from suicide. Now you need to be an advocate, encourage others to do what you did. They can relate to you and you to them, there is no better place or person to give and get advice than from someone who has been there.

Try to use it in a constructive way. You probably are a deep thinking person and need more than superficial things. Try reading 'inner self' and 'self development' type books and get interested in things where you can express yourself and your feelings more. The more of an out let you have expressing yourself the freer your spirit will be and your thoughts will become more positive.
Elton John and some other people have a philosophy about using depression to your advantage and it doesn't have to be a negative thing. Look at what he has accomplished with his music. Also they say a lot of writers and poets were depressed. When you are feeling suicidal it most often is a symptom of depression.
So contemplate the deeper meaning of life...
