    Basement tub or shower
I'm trying to find the easiest way to install a shower or freestanding tub in my basement. I'd like to do it without having to break up the floor. I already have a toilet there and I have access to the drain waste system in the same location. Is it possible to put a tub on some type of platform? Nothing fancy just functional. Thanks for any help.

I have put in an assessable shower stall for my son who is in a wheele chair. I need to find a lip that will keep the water in and still be able to roll the chair over. I have asked the local building supply store and they no nothing that is available. Do you have any suggestions?

Installing tub/shower in unfinished basement [ 7 Answers ]

Hello, I'm finishing off my basement and there is a 1-1/2 stub for a tub or shower. It holds water so I'm assuming there's a P trap in the cement floor and there's a vent stack nearby too. However, the stub is only 11 3/4 inches from a concrete wall and has cement all the way around it. My...
