    Piercing My Lip
Hello everyone my mom won't let me get my lip pierced
She said id look like trash. I just got my upper ear pierced
Awhile ago and I fell in love with it. I really want to get my
Left lip pierced (lip ring) but my mom said that I'd have to take it out.
I have decided do it though no matter what my mother says.
But not get caught wearing it around my mom or school.
Is this possible not to get caught??
And if she makes me take it out how bad would the scaring be?
And is this all worth it? I'll be grounded for months if I get caught.

First of all, how old are you? If you are not of legal age to get a piercing, no one will pierce you anyway.

Also, if you do manage to get pierced, there is no way to hide it from your mother. A lip piercing is not able to be taken out for about 6 weeks, otherwise it will close. So if you take it out in order to fool your mother, you will have gotten pierced for no reason.

No, I do not think it is worth it. Do you live with your mother? If so, you have to respect her wishes. If she doesn't want you getting a lip ring, don't get one.

For legal age I'm a year younger...
So I will have to pierce it myself
Or get one of my "Guardians"

I strongly advise you to not pierce yourself. You cannot get a needle sterilized, and it will usually lead to infection. Then you have to go to your doctor for antibiotics, and when you need to go to the doctor, your mom will find out anyway.

I don't know what you mean by "guardians", having someone else sign for you? I don't recommend this either. You said you would be grounded. Is that worth having a piercing?

If you are only a year under the legal age, why can't you just wait?

    Your probably right...
I will have to wait :)
And do you know if there is major scarring involved?
Because I don't want to do it if it gives me like bad scarring and messes up my face

Scarring depends on how you take care of it. If you don't take care of it how you are supposed to, you can develop a significant scar. If all goes well with the piercing, scarring should be minimum.

    You're welcome! :)

As far as scarring goes, you never know how things will go with a piercing. If you aren't prepared for possibly having a scar on your face, I wouldn't get a piercing on your face. :)

You should just wait until your old enough and then get all the peicings you want... but some jobs won't allow you to have them
