    Custody issues
    I Have Full Costody Of My Daughter And The Father Has Supervised Vistation,he Does Not Help Out In Any Way He Has A Real Bad Dranking And Drug Promblem. That Has Put Him In Jail A Lot In The Past Two Years.he Is In Jail Right Now And He Has Been In There For Two Months Already.what Would I Have To Do To Get His Rights Denied And His Name Removed From His Birth
    Certificate And Let My Boy Friend Adopt Her.

    If your daughters father is at all involved in the child's life (supervised or not) it is almost certain his rights will not be taken away.

    In Ohio, it has to be a minimum of 6 months with no contact, no child support.. nothing, before you can file to abandonment and petition to have the rights terminated. Even then, the judge has to think it is in the best interest of the child.

    And, there has to be someone willing to adopt the child (in Ohio). It cannot be a boyfriend, it would have to be your husband, and you have to be married at least a year before they would even allow that.

    You can get the bio father to sign over his rights to allow the adoption.

    Most likely even though he is a criminal and a bad father, they will not take his rights away and allow an addoption without his permission

    Also you would have a much better chance if you were married. I doubt if the court would terminate a father's rights in favor of a boyfriend.
