    Quit smoking
    Hi I take depression medication Elixer I want to quit smoking can I take the medicatin zyban or Chantix to quit. Thanks

    Okay, Effexor is an antidepressant. So, is Zyban (it is Wellbutrin).

    You do not want to mix these two meds together, Effexor and Zyban.

    Effexor and Chantix should work together. You need to discuss this with your doctor as well as your pharmacist as each individual responds differently to medications.

    Please discuss this with your doctor as he/she knows your medical history and is in a better position to advise you.
