Get to within a few feet of him (not during an academic class, mind you!), in front of as few people as possible (preferably alone just with him), lean slightly towards him, look him straight in the eye and say in a low but firm voice "Leave me alone and stay out of my face or you will be sorry!" That may get him to back off. If it doesn't, then you report him to an administrator and also go home and tell your parents and have them call the principal. Don't worry, it's not ratting, it's standing up for yourself, just as nicespringgirl said. If taking reasonable steps on your own doesn't resolve the problem, and what I've suggested is a reasonable step that you can take on your own, then you need and deserve outside help and have a right to it (i.e. your parents and the school administration and, if necessary, the authorities.)
