What must be your average speed in order to travel 200 km in 3.25 h?

A bird can fly 26 km/h. How long does it take to fly 19 km?

If you are driving 116 km/h along a straight road and you look to the side for 3.0 s, how far do you travel during this inattentive period?

A horse canters away from its trainer in a straight line, moving 100 m away in 12.0 s. It then turns abruptly and gallops halfway back in 5.2 s.

Sports car accelerates from rest to 95 km/h in 6.8 s. What is its average acceleration in m/s2?

At highway speeds, a particular automobile is capable of an acceleration of about 1.6 m/s2. At this rate, how long does it take to accelerate from 78 km/h to 109 km/h?

Remember that velocity = distance traveled divided by time:

For the first three problems you are given two of these variables, and asked to calculate the third. For example, in the first problem you are asked to calculate the velocity given the distance traveled and the time -- so velocity = distance/time = 200km/3.25 hr = 61.53 Km/hr. Now, can you do the next two on your own?

Not sure what you're looking for in the 4th problem.

As for the last two - use the formula: change in acceleration = change in velocity divided by time:

    Hope this helps.

have you not studied algebra at all?

It seems harsh for your teacher to expect you to rearrange equations if you don't know how to.

Actually I have but instead of fussing about what I've studied lets try sticking to answering the question. Thanks

    Obviously you are no help

You just rearrange the equation so that time is on it's own.

Show us some of your working and we can help you move forward with it.
