    Writing an equation
    Please I need some help:

The triple of what number is 16 greater than the number?

3x=16+x... the answer is 8? (this is my answer)

Would you give me another option?

    Thanks

There's no other solution, you found the only one.

I have attached a graph with both sides of the equation graphed. You can see that there is only one place where they will ever cross, at x=8, which is your solution.
