Help! What should dads know about the 4-6 months of pregnancy??
I have read the book "What To Expect When You're Expecting", but I want to hear from some people that have experinsed it themselves. Like is she going to still be sick all the time and what other symptoms to watch out for??

The book you have is an excellent reference guide!
It's the one I had and helped me a lot, I mean A LOT!
The morning sickness will go away and be a thing of the past soon.
From a woman's point of view, you should just try to be as understanding as possible.
Us women (or should I say at least most of us) love for the fathers to be present for special doctors appointments such as hearing the heart beat for the first time, the first ultrasound to see the baby, etc, etc...
Basically, show her that you care.
Sounds like your excited to becoming a father - good for you!
    Congrats and good luck!

I started to cry when I saw the ultra sound I felt like I was lifted off the ground and just completely stress free for like 30 seconds. I get to hear the heart beat this Thursday, and I can't stand waiting any longer.

Each pregnancy is different. I was fat and happy with my first and miserable the second.

Just keep in mind that her hormones will be going wild and although I don't recommend that you ignore any irratic behavior, just keep in perspective that she is experiencing a beautiful, but stressful time in her life.

I didn't have morning sickness with either child. No problems at all with my son but the first trimester with my daughter was like PMS+evil. I was a mood swing maniac - any even knowing it is the hormones making you crazy, doesn't help much.

Be supportive, help out as much as you can and enjoy your baby.

Lol... be prepared for sudden mood changes, try not to get upset with her, she can't help it. She will most likely get irritable and compulsive about cleaning. She may be happy one minute crying another, and it may be caused by nothing other than watching a cute baby commercial on TV... make sure you give her space when she requests it, it is difficult sharing a body with someone :)... otherwise, just be comfoting and stick by her side. Emland is right, be interested in her doctors appointments, her ideas for a baby room, names, etc... every little detail is so important to her, and even if you could care less what color the diaper changing table should be, she does, and any input will be appreciated by her.. lol. Good luck dad, it's a fun ride!
