Does anyone have a picture that they shows how the belt is routed on the deck for an MTD
16/46 model number 130675H302? The belt broke and I need to replace it. Thank you

Try mtd.com
Also, you can probably get an owner's manual there if you like.
I am unable to provide such diagrams due to copyright, and mfg. usage codes, sorry.

Thanks for tyring to help. I went there first and they do not have an online manaul ( my rider is about 9 years old), My husband is having trouble figuring out the routing of the deck belt and the means of adjusting the tension. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

There are idler pulleys and v groove pulleys, the back (flat side) of the belt goes against the flat of the idler pulley, the (v) side of the belt goes into the groove of the pulleys. As far as adjusting the spring for tension , try lubricating the components.

Thanks again, however, we are needing to know what the tension device hooks to so when you lower the deck the belt tightens so that the blade turns. Any idea? It may have fallen off in our yard, we are not sure, that is why we are needing to see a picture, Thanks again,

Do you have a mtd dealer / service center near you? If so , they may give you a copy of the diagram you need.

Lowering the deck does not provide the tension to engage the blade. You have two more pulleys than the number of blades. Each blade has a pulley and then there is an idler and also a spring loaded tensioner pulley. The belt goes around the three blade pulleys, then inward around the idler (the one that doesn't move) then out to the tensioner which must be pulled back as far as you can pull. You can just barely pry the belt onto the tensioner, rotating it will help pull it on.

Thanks, what does turn on the blade rotation when you lower the deck?

One handle lowers the deck and changes the cutting height. There is another blade enage handle that moves the idler up againist the belt, sometimes it moves the tensioner instead.
