    Regrouting tile
I work in a nursing home as the maintenance man. Our kitchen floor is red tile. It has grease in almost all the grout joints. We have floor drains in the floor. Will a pressure washer clean the grout and what will I have to do to regrout the tile. I have never regrouted before

Grouting is easy, as far as matching back up to a color, that will be tuff to do since there is grease and grim involved. I would guess a pressure washer would work just make sure the tip you use in a gerneral use tip, as for areas you need to regrout you may want to get a grout chart and go from there.

Hi, I laid down 13"by13" tile for my bathroom floor, and it looks pretty good. I have enough tile left over to make a tile baseboard. The width could be anywhere from 3 inches to 6.5 inches. What would be best? Would the finish edge at the top look strange? How could I make it look best? ...

Regrouting tile floor [ 6 Answers ]

We have granite tile, with tan grout, in our kitchen and foyer. Some of the grout has started to break down. How difficult is it to regrout the tiles myself? I don't care if the new grout matches exactly, as long as it's close. I'm hardly Mr. Fix-it around the house, but I hate the idea of...

Regrouting Floor Tile [ 2 Answers ]

I had 6" red quarry tile with black grout installed in my floor entryway 14 years ago. For a while, I mistakenly used a floor cleaning product that had wax in it. The black grout is now mostly grey and the only time it actually looks black is when it is wet. I have tried a wax stripper but it...

Hi there guys, I'm drywalling my tub enclosure, preparing for tile, and I've got two questions before I continue: 1) In the past, I've simply placed the rockboard/drywall line about two inches below the terminating line of tile. Is this the best way to handle this? Do you simply bevel the...
