    Skylight or solatube?
Hey all -- our new master bedroom is dark. Like, gloomy dark. We happen to like sunshine.

Soooo... would you recommend/ have an experience with a) skylights b) solatubes (http://www.solatube.com/homeowner) or c) enlarging existing windows?

The room's windows are north and west facing: the west is 2 acres of large trees, the north is partly large trees.

The south is roof (dormer) and the east is a bathroom and bedroom.

We are interested in light, but a view would be nice, too, though not necessary.

    Thanks

Ive installed both, most common would be skylights. There just more functional. The solar tube will just give you some extra light, we've only used these in small bathrooms, were skylights are to big to use. Id recommend skylights unless the bathroom is 8x5 or smaller.
