    Manual On Occupancy Sensors
Title 24 states that Manual On Occupancy Sensors need to be installed in bathrooms and laundry room. If the lights in these rooms are fluorescent light fixtures, do I still need to use a Manual On Occupancy Sensors? What if I also have other light fixtures in the bathroom such as recess lights and wall sconces. Would I need to have a Manual On Occupancy Sensor on for these fixtures?

    Thanks

Section 6.4 states that either use a sensor on low efficacy fixtures, or just a switch on high efficacy fixtures. So, a fluorescent does not need a sensor, and any other incandescent fixtures do need a sensor.

Thanks again tkrusell for your expertise. It is greatly appreciated.
One other question is if I have a recess light fixture in a shower or above a bathtub, does the cirtuit need to be on a GFIC? And what about a hanging light fixture above the tub?

    Thank you

A recess light or fan above a tub or shower only needs GFI protection if the manufacturer requires it, to meet code.

I will not install a recess fan or light above a tub without GFI protection. Call me silly, but no way is anyone using a tub or shower in a home I wired going to die.

A hanging fixture above a tub must have GFI protection and the bottom of the fixture must not be closer than 8 feet to the water level.
