This Really Happened!
Some of you know that one of things that I do for a living is that I tune and service acoustic pianos.
Last week, I went to a small town near where I live to tune a piano in a home.
One of the sons let me in the door. As I normally do, I asked for a glass of water. The son came back and gave me a glass of water. I set the glass of water on the carpeted floor by the piano.
After about 45 minutes of tuning the piano, his mom came home and I then greeted and met her.
There came a time shortly after that, when I needed to go into the kitchen area to ask the mom about something. When I returned to the piano, I noticed that the glass of water was knocked over, but there appeared to be no water on the carpet.
I thought to myself, "That's funny. I thought that surely I would have noticed knocking over the glass of water."
Anyway, I took the glass to the kitchen, filled it up and proceeded to continue drinking out of it and kept it on the floor by the piano as I had done before.
After continuing tuning for awhile, I heard something...
I looked down to see the family pet, a rather old Bassett Hound, happily drinking out of my glass of water!
Kind of gross, right?

Our pup jumps up on my sister's bed and drinks her milk out of her cup on her bedside table. It's okay though, any bacteria in the dog's mouth are going to be species specific, so won't do you any harm ;D

Tapeworms aren't bacteria
And unless he relieved himself in the cup, I'm sure you'll be fine ;P
