    Poulan PT17
I have a Poulan PT17 trimmer. I want to replace the head with heavy duty plastic blade. How do you remove the head to put on the new. I cannot see any screws, bolts that hold the head on, how do you remove it?

Hold on to the end of the shaft, should be a hex pattern, which you can put a wrench on, and hold on to the head and screw it off, that's all it is to it.

We tried to so as you said. However there is no hex pattern, or screws or bolts any other ideas?

It should look like a nut... at the end of the shaft itself... it'll have flat sides all the way around, hold on to that with a wrench, and hold onto the head and take it off. Not familiar with this one, but is it a straight or curved shaft trimmer?

Poulan/Weedeater lawnmower drive belt replacement [ 1 Answers ]

I need to replace the drive belt on my Poulan/Weedeater lawnmower. Does the cutting blade and engine have to be removed to put on a new belt? I would like to see a diagram if one is available.
