    Superior Debt Settlement Services
My daughter is interested in using Superior Debt Settlement Services. What type of rating
Has the Better Business Bureau given Superior Debt Services? Are they a legitimate
    Debt settlement company?

    Sincerely,

    Bob

I lost my job at age 62 and was shocked to find financial disaster

I used a similar company to handle a $15,000 credit card debit

They were really going to save me money and quoted a $9,600

Figure which included their charge, they would save 40 %

So I looked for work and went along with their plan

I was assigned to someone who had no clue what was needed

And probably forgot about me before he hung up the phone

They settled one card for a little less but left the meter running

On the secound one , and ended up turn a collection agency

On me by not having the balls to do their job -- they lied

We cashed in insurance policies to scrape up the cash $16,000

I'm retired and trying to stay healthy -- no insurance

Might try to work it out -- need a budget -- cut up credit cards

If you can't pay cash -- you don't need it!!

You dug a hole It is not going away

Jack the Ripper! Few names in history are as instantly recognizable. Fewer still evoke such vivid images: noisome courts and alleys, hansom cabs and gaslights, swirling fog, prostitutes decked out in the tawdriest of finery, the shrill cry of newsboys - and silent, cruel death personified in the cape-shrouded figure of a faceless prowler of the night, armed with a long knife and carrying a black Gladstone bag.
    The Truth About Humans

I could quote you horror stories all day and tell you that ALL humans should die or I could help you out with the TRUTH.

The TRUTH is that debt settlement works.

The TRUTH is that there are many legitimate debt settlement companies out there that want to help you.

The TRUTH is that there are also debt settlement companies out there that only want your money.

The TRUTH is that debt settlement will effect your credit (so will STAYING IN DEBT, so will CREDIT COUNSELING, so will BANKRUPTCY, so will DEBT CONSOLIDATION, and so will just about anything and everything you do financially).

The TRUTH is that in many cases, clients credit scores have IMPROVED after going through a debt settlement program.

The TRUTH is that even if your credit isn't up to par after the program, there are credit restoration programs that can remove negative items from your reports and boost your score.

The TRUTH is that legitimate credit restoration companies work.

The TRUTH is that Superior Debt Settlement sucks and I would never recommend them.

The TRUTH is that I am not here to promote any debt settlement company... only to promote the TRUTH.

I help start and worked for Superior Debt for 3 years. They DO NOT take care of things as they say they will. First off you are contacted by a SALESPERSON, not settler. The program TOTALLY wrecks your credit not to mention all the harassing phone calls. I had a change of heart when I really saw what was going on and had to go. Many of my so called Clients spent thousands of dollars which went to extreme salaries to the salespeople. We were paid on the amount of your debt. There was NO script to follow it was just to get you signed up and make the monthly payments into THEIR holding account collecting interest off your hard earned money. And there is NO WAY to repair your credit no matter what they say. I have been contacted by the IRS as to their business practices and evasion questions, for which I will co operate fully with the government. I am sorry to say I made a 6 figure income off the mis fortune of others, and I am truly sorry. So in short, stay away... talk to a real person, a lawyer. Don;'t lose your house, car and life to these people...

I want to tell everyone that you don't need to use a service like that . I tried it and the harassment from the creditors destroyed my marriage. Superior Debt Services complacently repeated told me that after 6 months they would start the settlement processes. I inadvertently found out I COULD DEAL DIRECTLY with the credit card companies myself! That is why I am writing this, to tell anyone else who doesn't know. I cancelled SDS and they didn't argue: they got their money up front. So that was wasted money on my part. Here is the key phrase when you call your creditor: ask for the HARDSHIP DEPARTMENT or similar. Talk to the SUPERVISORS, the ones who have Authority. You can make some progress with your problem without having to go through a middle man service. Also, the collection agency I am working with is NICE to me and they don't charge any interest, so I'm making real progress at last. I truly hope this helps someone.
