    GF scared of parents
My girlfriend of almost two years has little problem she is really afraid of her parents. Now I do not mean the if we get caught doing this we are dead scared because I am like that too, but she is afraid to ask her mom mostly for anything, dad just says go ask mom, during our relationship she has been afraid to hold my hand sit by me and give me a hug in front of her parents. Kissing and all that is not a problem I am a gentleman and do not like having an audience watch me do my thing. So my question. Is this normal? I mean I used to be like her to ask for anything but I realize that they really did not care but with her parents I feel like she is in a prison I tell her to gain a little courage for things she needs, I lent her 40 dollars for her horse because she was afraid her parents would sell the horse for not taking care of it She also wants to work in a tax paying job but because of band and her duties at a ranch where she works at teaching lessons and making 15 to 30 buck a lesson and now with school underway she is going to be more trapped. Her parents explain it by saying that if she gets freedom then she might end up pregnant and jobless or stuff like that. So what do you guys think?

Aguilar there are A LOT more problems in your relationship then this.

Based on everything that you have said on this site I completely side with your girlfriends parents. You are both young and honestly there is no need for the two of you to be so wrapped up in one another. Your GF should be focusing on her future and taking steps in the right direction.

Ok you guy got it all wrong I posted this because I wanted to know why she is so terrified of her parents. She has told me that she has always been afraid of her mom and that is not healthy so I asked you guys for ways to overcome. It was all about her sure I mention a lot about us but that's the only time she ever says anything. She trusts me with everything as I do her. As for us being to young who knows maybe your right but only we can make that decision but lately I could really care less about my wild oats you know school too important

She sounds like most girls her age. I'm 28 and I'm just getting over the fear of asking my mother for things. At this age its mostly needing her help or advice. But as a teenager I was always scared to ask my mom for things. I also was never affectionate with boyfriends in front of my mom but that was mostly a respect thing. I can't imagine a parent wanting to see some boy all over their daughter.
