    Back pain
I have been having lower back pain for several months. It causes cramping in the front - almost like nenstral cramps. I was sent for a back X-ray, ultra sound of lower and upper abdomen. I also had a MRI of the back - showed bulging discs. My regular doctor and Chriopractor said the cramping in the fron is caused by the back. Anyone else with something similar or suggestions.

I experience something similar to this; when I lay down at night my lower back will ache along with a crampy feeling in the front. My doctor told me it was my bed and that I was fine. Bulging disks cause pain because the soft material flows out, usually onto nerves. The nerves respond by sending pain signals, so this could be what you are experiencing. You doctors are probably right but if you are still uncomfortable about their advice I would seek another opinion from a different doctor. You have to push for the answers you want sometimes.

Im not a Dr. and this is not medical advice but try sleeping on your side with a pillow between your legs it helps to straighten the spine also plenty of water. Good luck to you back pain can be brutal. Have you gone to a chiropractor?

Chiropractic is NO GOOD for you.

If you have disk buldges, then you have need for rest until the gel (the stuff that leaks out from a disk buldge) hardens-when did you get this injury?

A good doctor would recommend a rest/training session from the outset-you need time to heal, then some slight mobilisation exercise. Trust me my back is very similar-it can take ages! -sorry!

P.S. when you are healed, Pilates is the BEST for a back pain injury.
