    Picollo Trumpet
I would like to get a piccolo trumpet (I already play Bb Trumpet).
    1. Are the fingerings similar to a regular trumpet, and the extra one opens another octave or soomething?
    2. Where can I find a fingering chart on line?
    3. What is the best brand (I have been successful with Bachs)
    4. Would you be able to play it in a band using regualr trumpet music?

I don't know if anyone knows much about this... but if you have any advice please share!!

The fingerings are the same on pic as on your regular Bb.
The fourth valve lowers the pitch a fourth to give you more of the low register.
The thing to realize is that the pic will not automatically make you play higher...
It will be easier to lock into notes in the high register but you won't gain range.
It will also magnify the faults you have on the Bb.

    Hope this helps.

    Good luck.
