Wrong date format I can't change.
I'm using MS Works 8.5. When I click on Format/Number/Date the exact format I want is not shown and the preview is often different from that. i.e. it shows as say 31/8/07 and I want 8/31/07 as I'm in Australia. How can I change it to what I want?
Help would be much appreciated.

Go to tools, options, and you will find a setting to change the language to Australian etc

This is changed in Regional Settings. You can select Date/Time from Control Panel or right click the time display in the tray area.

Hi Scott,
Thanks for you reply, but I can't see how to alter the date in the Date/Time settings. There is no option to change the format there. What I want to do is change the default format in MS Works. The only option suitable for me which is shown is 9/23/2007. But being in Australia, I want it to show as 23/9/2007 or preferably 23/9/07. In the same column of dates, sometimes is shows as 23/9/2007, others show as 9/23/2007 or 9/23/07 and no amount of clicking on that default date changes it. So in the same column I have a range of date formats which I can't change. If I type the correct one over the wrong one it immediately returns to the MS default when I exit that cell.
If you have any ideas, I'd appreciate to hear from you.
Thanks,
Stuartp77

I tried Regional and Language Options which is the only one I saw there with the word Regional.

That's the one, and it has a pull down to select the region
