    Centipedes, centipedes go away
Ok so I have gotten rid of the spiders and ants by using an exterminator, who also said that the centipedes would be gone as well. Well one week after extermination, I saw one and I have seen several since then, and they don't look like they are dying, they are alive and well. How do I get rid of these pests. Please if anyone has a solution, I will try it. I have a 5year old and a 4 month old and would hate to put their new furniture in their room if we are still having problems, besides my 5 year old would be deathly afraid. So if anyone has any solutions, please help!!

Centipedes are normally controlled by using the same general insecticides that are used to control ants, spiders and most common household pests. The treatment you have gotten to control the other critters should be just as effective with the centipedes.

It's also very possible that the ones you are seeing (even after the exterminator was there) have come into your home since it was sprayed (anything with that many legs has got to put in some mileage) and will be end up "belly up" in short order. Try to prevent any dark damp place for them to live. They are actually pretty handy to have around because they eat other bugs that can harm your garden or "creep" around in your house.

    Good luck.
