Dog urinating blood and won't eat.
My dog is fifteen(15) years old now and is falling apart to the human eye.

He's starting to bleed as he urinates... He won't eat(didn't want him to starve, so I
Fed him frosted flakes in milk... and he ate that up quickly).

He is also having trouble walking with his two back legs.

I don't want him suffering... and to my eye he is suffering.

But I also don't want to put down a dog that doesn't need to be.

Thank you for any information you can provide.

Doesn't sound good, but at 15 some dogs still have some good years. I would have a vet exam at least. It could be something minor and curable. If it is hopeless, then you can put him down.

    Thank you for your input.

We are taking him in tomorrow morning(Monday am). I'm quite sure the Vet will let us know what our options are. We are hoping that he just has a bladder infection and can be cured with antibiotics and a change of diet... but we are also trying to prepare ourselves for the possibility of bad news from the Vet.

I just want to do the right thing... without being selfish. I would hate to think that because of my selfishness, Garth(my dog) is suffering.

    Thank you again!!
