    Linux flavors?
    Is there a certain distro of linux that anyone reccommends for a computer that is... : a Dell Dimension XPS P100c desktop, with 32 Mb of ram and a 1 gig hard drive (which the c: drive is located on) and then a 5 gig hard drive also, it has a pentium 1 processor.

    My son in law, the computer science graduate loves Debian. He installed Mandrake for me thinking it would be easier for me to work with. Go with something your mentor knows.

    I don't really have a mentor, I'm kind of self taught. I tried to put Xandros and Meiphs on it, but there's not enough ram. I want a flavor that can work on a machine with only 32 megs of ram.

    You might look at older versions. It seems each new version is bigger than the last.
