    Unpaid evction judgement
I wanted to know what legal action can my old landlord take against me and my husband for an eviction that happened in 2001.We have not repaid it. And when I talked to the attorney for the landlord he said would not expect anything under a $100.00 a month. Well when it rains it pours, meaning we have not been able to do that.On one of my credit reports it said this item will fall off in Dec 07,another report said Jan 08. What should we do? I don't think the landlord is even still alive. And to think about all the interest we owe on $2600.00 makes me sick:confused:( By the way we live in California.

    Hello tahoe:

Even though if falls off your credit report after 7 years, the judgment is good for at least 10 years and can be renewed for another 10. However, if they haven't garnished your wages or attached your bank accounts yet, then I wouldn't worry - too much.
