    Dog eatting cat droppinig
Hi, my brother has a Sheltie which is two years old. My brother brings his dog to our house quite a bit. He lives just two houses down and doesn't like taking care of the dog so he brings him here for us to watch. The dog is sweet. We have three cats and another dog. The Sheltie will get into the cat's litter box and eat their droppings. I'm not sure what to when he does that or how to stop him. Anytime you try to scold him or if you raise your voice at him he urinates all over the place. Please help me. I can't take it anymore.

I see a couple of solutions. Would the cats use their litter box if it was up on something where the dog couldn't reach it? Or even squeeze between or under something to reach it? There are things you can add to a dog's diet to keep it from eating its own droppings. You could try adding them to the cats diet if you want. Pineapple juice should work. There are the commercial products Deter, and Forbid.

Other people's dogs are difficult to deal with. I am bothered by your brother having a dog he doesn't like taking care of. Perhaps the dog would be better off in another home. Before I take time to suggest way to deal with the urination, let me know if you thing your brother would be interested in working with the dog to correct it. Let me know, or look back through the questions here for the info.
