    Spouse support/alimony
    I live in Northern California, how can I stop paying alimony to my ex who's getting married?

    You can legally stop paying alimony when your ex gets married. Your obligation ends immediately upon a remarriage. So, I wouldn't try to do anything now if the marriage is imminent. You never know how spiteful a person may become and decide to postpone the marriage plans if you try to stop payments now.
