    Deville Pendulum Chiming Wall Clock
    Hello Experts!

When my mother passed away I was given the wall clock that she has had in her home since I was a small child. I don't care about how much it costs because I will never sell it. What I would like to know is how I can find out information about the clock. It is a chiming wall clock that has a pendulum. It says 21 day clock on it and you have to wind it with a key. On the face of the clock the word "Deville" is printed but I cannot find a manufacturer of "Deville" clocks anywhere. I consider myself pretty adept at being able to find anything in the search engines but the only thing that keeps coming up is something about hotel deville clocks. If you could help me I would be so grateful!

    Sincerely,

    Melinda

I have been searching for you, but also have not come up with any information other than the ones about "Hotel." That doesn't mean that information can't be found on the Internet though. Have you tried taking the clock to an antique store?

This is just a guess, but perhaps the clock is a replica of one that might be found at the Hotel de Ville in Paris, France and is not really manufactured by a clock maker named DeVille?

There may be other information that you could find on the clock itself, such as on the back, bottom or even inside. On the inside, might find a maker of the movement mechanism of the clock.

    Clough,

Thanks, I will take the clock off the wall today and investigate the things you suggested. I don't think the clock is an antique as it is probably just 35 years old or so and I don't think my mother paid a lot for it, but then I can't ask her about it can I. Thanks for your quick response I will keep you posted about what I find out.
