    Live in NYS/Work in NJ
I am a NYS resident. I am being transferred to our company office in NJ. Will my employer withhold taxes now BOTH for NYS and NJ? Will I get all my money back from NJ since I am not a NJ resident? Should I file with my employer a NJ form with so many exemptions that they can't withhold any amount from me, or very little.

If my employer withholds now for both states, it will take a big bite out of my take home pay.

    Thanks for th help.

You will have to pay NJ income taxes as that is where you work. NY state will give you a credit for the taxs paid to NJ so you will avoid double taxation.

BOTH NY and NJ taxes will need to be withheld, as NY state tax rates are higher than NJ.
