Divorce settlement may not be settled.
My close friend is engaged to a woman who has 3 kids and an Ex husband.
    A lot to sort out...
Her divorce was settled out of court through 2 mediator attorneys.

She got what was in the checking account and the home equity.
He got his salary and moreover - a trust fund that kicks in in 2 years.

In return, the husband had no child support obligations - or alimony.
The plan was that the money would pay for her to go to nursing school
And in 2 years she could support herself... And he could get his trust fund.
And then... she can petition for more $$ once his income increases... theoretically
    About 5k a month...

    Is this a safe guarantee?

Will she add this to her income?
