    Grand am squeals when hit gas
    I have a 2000 Grand Am and over the weekend I had the air conditioner running and hit the gas to move in the line at McDonld's and the car squealed. I just had the belt checked and it still looks good. Any ideas for me? Thanks.

    Install a new serpentine belt. Old belts dry rot, harden, and crack. Normally, this should be done every 80,000 miles or 7 years, whichever comes first.
