Outside water spigot will not turn water off
I have an outside water spigot that will not completely close the water off. There is not any leakage from the spigot handle, so adjusting the bonnet did not help. I suspect there must be a worn washer or such, but I need some advice and hopefully a diagram to help me out with this job.

    Thanks

While your hose bib won't look like this,(see image) all washer type faucets work the same way. Shut the water off to the hose bib and unscrew the bonnet packing nut. You may now back the stem anjd washer assembly out counterclockwise. Replace the washer and check the seat for nicks or rough edges. If you fins any the hose bib must be replaced. Good luck, Tom
