    Balancing one equation
    OK I got all of them correctly balanced except for one, I've went through three pieces of paper trying to balance it and I just can so if some one could help that would be greatly appriciated thanks tianna

    Gold (III) hydroxide --> gold (III) oxide + water

    -is the equation, I think that is written like this: AuOH --> Au2O3 + H2O
    or AuOH --> AuO+ H2O but I can't get it balanced no matter what I do

    Au(OH)3 --> Au2O3 + H2O

    Try now.

    OH has a valency 1, Gold(III) has a valency 3, so it has to be Au(OH)3.
