    Lights won't go out on 96 nissan altima
    I have a1996 nissan altima, all the lights in the back of my car stays on even when I turn the car off. What could be causing it ?

    Maybe a stuck brake switch. Un plug brake switch, if lights go out, switch is problem.
    If lights didn't go out, Maybe in Signalhead. Unplug harness up steering wheel to verify.

Driving the other day and I was in bad traffic, so I put it in neutral so I wouldn't have to hold the brake down and I forgot it was in neutral, so I hit the gas and looked down than put it in gear than my car wouldn't idle after that, it keeps puttering, and won't stay any higher than 500 rpm's....

My Altima's brake and parking lights stay on. I have taken the fuse out until I have the problem fixed. I checked under the dash and there are several switches located there. Not sure which one is for the brake light. Any suggestions?:mad:
