    Deter Male cat from spraying
    Hi,

We have just moved into our new home a month or so ago. We own 2 neutered female cats (indoor)... The problem is that I have notced a big fat male cat hanging around. When I get up in the middle of the night to feed bub. I can hear this annoying cat moaning (whatever it is it is doing! ) & have noticed he has been peeing all over my car, windscreen & all! I have been spraying the areas with vinegar/water mixture. What else can I do? I am starting to get very annoyed!!

    Thanks for your help!

He definitely needs to be neutered (although that might not cure the spraying depending on how old he is). And he might be someone's cat?

He apparently likes your house and has made your cats his gfs. Call a vet or an animal shelter in your area and ask them for advice. They probably have available for free or for a deposit (that you will get back when you return it) a special cat trap. Shelters and vets often work together to get outdoor strays and ferals neutered at low or no cost to someone like you who has identified an unneutered cat.

Do you think he might belong to someone, or do you think he is a stray? Meanwhile, call the vet or shelter for help.

In the meantime should you be going insane there are some sprays that you can buy that are unncatractive to an unneutered male that you could purchase at a local pet store... simply spray it in the kitty's favorite "spray spot" and it should direct his attention elsewhere...

I heard that is you sprinkle cayenne pepper in the areas you don't want the cat that it will deter them. They don't like the smell of the pepper. Its worth a try.
