    No-Complete Clause in New Jersey
    Is a no-compete clause needed for an independent contractor?

    No - because as an independent contractor the idea is that you are open to work for whomever you want. However, most IC's must sign an confidentiality agreement so that way you don't go do some IC work for a competitor and tell them the other companies secrets.
