    Getting rid of old car
I have this old 1980 Mercedes diesel sitting in the garage, it runs, but needs repairs and I would like get rid of it. I heard the state of California has some kind of program that pays around $600 to get this old cars off the roads.

Does anyone know a website or phone #, so I can contact them?

    Your help will be appreciated.

    Thanks,

I have not heard of this but I don't live in cali either. It sounds like you may have something that other people may want esp if it is garaged kept. Try putting it on eBay. I know a man that sold his old mercedes for 3000 dollars but his was a 1970 model and had hundereds of thousands of miles on it. The mercedes company offered him 1/2 off a new mercedes if he would let them have it. They wanted to check the engine out to see how he kept it running for so long. Lol He would not let them have it because they would not give him a brand new car for it. He said he would never out live another mercedes so refused to pay the price . He put it on eBay. A collector from flordia purschased it.
