    Child Abuse Allegations
Long story made short: at this time, I lost custody based on unfounded allegations from my daughter who by the way, is developmentally delayed (low IQ, etc.). I have had custody for 9 yrs. And have a 15 yr old, but really that is not the point.

My question is: I am a licensed RN, and am now afraid to be alone with her due to the accusations, and what if they are worse after I exercise visitation? I can not take the chance; although no charges pressed (wish there were so I could clear my name! ) and no founded allegations, I do see how this situation could "snowball" and wham! There goes my career and all that I still have good in my life!

Am I justified in backing out of the parenting realm for a while because this could turn criminal? I am scared... (u know what) now. And I miss my daughter (just a side note at this point)

    Thanks

I have heard of situations like this where a young girl didn't like her moms boyfriend so she made allgations that he was raping and molesting her. The guy went to jail and later the girl admitted it was all a lie and why she did it. So yeah I think you are justified in backing out of the parenting realm for awhile. If what your saying is true then your child need some kind of help also.

I'm confused - there is no investigation to determine if the claims are unsubstantiated? If you lost custody I imagine that means that there was some time spent in court.

My friend is a Special Ed teacher and a parent claimed my friend was sexually abusing kids in the class. It turns out the parent was asking leading questions like has teacher ever touched you in your privates and he said yes - well duh they are delayed 3 year olds they still wear diapers and she changes diapers during the day. Anyway - there was an investigation. I imagine something could be done to investigate to clear your name.

I am confused also, didn't really imagine this was coming... suffice to say, I am out of money and sick of fighting; I have always won custody, we have years of battles, but this time, he took her to a therapist, then back two days later and she said I thow things at her, and am "mean" and use "cross words" and "yell at her" and call her bad names. The therapist, coincidentally, also used to work for CPS.

I was blindsided and I am certain I could appeal, but for what? If she is so easily led to say these things, what's next?? I won't sign off on her, and will pay my support, but don't think I can see her, at least not now. And I for sure don't want to be alone with her due to the mistrust in what she will be led to accuse next.

All I can say is I am confident that I took good care of her, did lots for her and with her, never abused her, and maybe when she is grown she will understand. I just never believed I would become a victim of the system, but I can attest to false allegations and

BEWARE-BE ON YOUR GAURD-NEVER BE "COMFORTABLE"-THIS COULD BE YOU NEXT

I recommend moving to another country-with court orders of course!

Oh, forgot to mention NO CPS investigation in CA, but lots of them all unfounded in CO... go figure??
