    Remodelling the bath room
I want to do some remodelling to the bathroom of the 1986 home I just bought. I think I can replace the toilet myself. Does anyone know how difficult that is. As for the shower. I need a new bathtub and shower. It looks stained and resembles a bathfitter bathroom and it doesn't have that welcoming feeling? Should I do part of the work myself or should I just pay to get everything redone( toilet and bathtub/shower. How long would I be displaced. There is only one shower in the house.

I need to know the level of your plumbing skills to be able to tell if you can do the remodel by yourself. I can instruct you on replacing the fixtures but it will require some plumbing knowledge and tools. What material are your drainage pipes? Will anything be moved or can you use the original setup and simoly replace the fixtures? Back to you. Tom

I know tools but have absolutely no experience in plumbing. Looking at the toilet it looks like with some good intructions I can replace it. I wouldn't mess with the tub myself.

I can walk you through setting the toilet. Is the toilet unpacked and trimmed out ready for instalation? Do you have closet bolts and a wax seal? Back to you, Tom
