    There is no such thing as a mortgage deed. A Mortgage is a loan secured by real estate. A deed is a statement of ownership in real estate.

    If you want to add someone to a deed, you go to the county clerk where the property deed is recorded and find out what you need to do. If the property still has a mortgage on it, then you need to get the permission of the mortgage holder before changing ownership.
