    New hard drive
    If I put a hard drive in a different computer how do I make the motherboard recognize the new hard drive

    Assuming its an IDE drive the computer should automatically recognize it. In the CMOS settings. Next you need to FDISK it to create at least one partition. Then format it for the OS to recognize.
