    Chirping frogs
I live in Southeast Texas. We have "chirping" frogs in our yard. They "chirp" all night and are very loud. Anything that we can do to rid us of these critters?

I live in Houston, Tx and those annoying little things chirp right outside my bedroom window, all night long! One night, in a rage, I ran outside with a flashlight looking for them. Didn't find a thing! Think they must be very small.

My answer was to get a sound machine to block out the noise. I have it on ocean waves sounds and that help drown out the chirping. You can find these machines at various drug stores, specialty home places or at a baby store.

I grew up in southeastern Arkansas and we had those things, too and the cicada (sp?) bugs that sang all night.

I noticed that every once in a while they would go silent, but not for long. I wondered if maybe an owl or something would shut them up.

I did what daisymactx suggested and found something to drown them out.

I grew up in Florida and had to deal with lots of very loud frogs and drowning out the frogs with other sounds for me really defeated the whole purpose. I wanted it quiet. Eventually I just started to think positive thoughts about my little frog friends... I opened my windows and started appreciating my little FREE bug eating nature cd's! After all what's worse noisy frogs or biting mosquitoes and annoying moths?
