    What do you think
Hi my name is michael and I want to play as a linebacker my age is 15 and I'm a freshman.my hight is 5'11 and I weight 167 pounds. Do you think that I fit that position because I don't want to be a linemen. There's nothing wrong with being a lineman but I played it for a year and I didn't really like it.plez help

As you already know, EVERY position is an IMPORTANT position. I believe what you play best is what you should do. I am a mother of a 13 year old player and he is understanding about what position he gets. He doesn't usually get the fast player positions because he isn't as fast as some of them. He did play quarter back last year because of his good decision and precision of getting the ball where it needs to go though. You never know. I think you should find YOUR talents then show it to the fullest. I wish you luck in finding your place on the team.

5'11'' 170lbs. At 15 is a pretty good size. I see why they would want to make you a lineman, but unless you have some pretty good speed and a thinner build, then I doubt you'll see a lot of time at linebacker. If you have good hands and like the offensive side of the ball, try your hands at Tightend. It is quikly becoming one of the skilled scorring positions on that side of the ball at all levels. Tightend is a great position for a big guy with a little speed who doesn't want to just stay in the trenches every down. Good luck...
