I want my body pierced!
Ok, so here's the deal...
I am 14 years old, and I'll be 15 in November
I currently have 13 holes in my ears [9 in one and 4 in the other-i want to more on the lesser side] thanks to diff people that I have gotten to take me to get them
My dad is set against piercings, but he is 57 years old, and listens to my grandmother like he's still a little kid, and she is VERY old fashioned
I'm his baby girl so I do get away with a lot of stuff and I can convince him of a lot of things, but piercings are not included in that since he doesn't like them
My mother would let me, but she died a few years ago
My parents were very different, and for anything I would ever need or want one of them would be perfect for advice
Now I'm down to half that... and I'm struggling with a lot of stuff
Don't I get a little sneaking leeway because of my position?
I don't even really know why but I want my nose pierced REALLY badly!
I've wanted it for over a year now, and it's not because of someone else having it, or it's part of the trend or something like that, but I just LOVE the way the little studs look
I want something small anyway
I am definitely getting it done, I am very set on that, whether I can convince him or not
But how can I convince him?
And if I can't...
How do I get my nose pierced by myself?

First of all, you can't get your nose pierced by yourself. You need parental consent, otherwise the piercer could get in BIG trouble, and he won't take that risk.
If you're going to try and plead your case, look up some of the pros and cons on the internet and present them to him. Make sure you let him know you are responsible enough to take care of this piercing and not let it get infected. Also let him know that you are trying to express yourself. People express themselves in different ways.
You could also say, "at least i'm not asking for a tongue ring"... lol.

Any piercing can get infected if not taken care of properly. Your nose, believe it or not, isn't the most prone piercing to get infected.

Oh definitely. But proper care will prevent that. I've been pierced up and down, and never had an infection in any of my piercings :)

Yeah, but I know how she feels. I always wanted piercings, starting when I was like 11. It never hurts to present your case. My mom never let me have any, so once I turned 18 I got really "piercing happy".. lol.

No one will pierce her underage without consent. They risk losing way too much. If she has a friend do it for her, she will learn a very valuable lesson on why not to get things like this done in unsterilized environments.

Another tip for the OP, if your dad says no, don't push it! You can do whatever you want once you turn 18, but until then you have to have consent for piercings. The more you push him, the less likely it is that you will get something else you want in the future :)

I know how you feel... I got my nose pierced too I think I was 13 or 14 don't really remember... but I also had my father take me to a professional. So please don't do it yourself if he says no b.c it can go horribly wrong. My cousin got her nose pierced after I did and she didn't take care of it like she was supposed to and a bubble started forming around the piercing and just kept getting very ugly and nasty(if got infected). She still has a little scar on her nose b.c of it.. Just remember its going on your pretty face so take care of it... Something else you have to keep in mind just b.c your ears can take piercing doesn't mean the rest of your body will... your body may reject the piercing and when it does that I don't think you can do much to keep it in... Good Luck

Yeah doesn't your body keloid if its rejecting the piercing?? Im not sure if it was a keloid b.c the bubble started to go away a little when she took it out but like I said she still has alil' bump there... Whatever the case she doesn't want that forming on her face pus or keloid

A keloid appears on a piercing when it is overly irritated. If you play with it all the time, or over-clean it (yes, that is possible) then a keloid may form.

I know what a keloid is, thank you. And yes, in the majority of cases, they appear when you play with them too much, or overclean them. Majority, key word here. I do not touch my piercings, and do not clean them more than normal, and I have never had a keloid on any of them.
When you hang around tattoo/piercing parlors most of your life, you tend to know a little bit about what you are talking about.

First of all little girl, you need to take a step back. When you know me, then you can talk sh*t about me, until then, cool down. As far as getting "knocked up", I'm married, not that its any of your business, but I did not have children until I got married, and can continue to have children if I choose to do so, so you need to back off.
I never said I know everything. I know a lot about certain subjects, which obviously you do not. If I know the answer to something, I will post it in order to benefit someone else.
And by the way, you should only clean your piercing once a day, that's why you got a keloid.
You can report this post as inappropriate all you want, I don't care. I just hope you don't speak to people like that in the real world, because some day you will regret it.

If you clean it more than once a day, it will get way too irritated. In case you didn't know, a cartilage piercing is easily irritated, but you go on and enjoy your keloid.
As far as "lying on my back making kids", that is none of your business, so you can just back off. I may have had an 18 year old boyfriend when I was 14 (by the way, I thought everyone was over that, apparently you are an internet troll liking to cause trouble that has been taken care of) but I was more mature then than you are now, and you are what, 18?
Anyway, I am done arguing with you here munchkin, because that is not what I'm here for. But feel free to message me any time when you grow about 5 years mentally.
